Ohio Pattern Works is founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

1916

Ohio Pattern Works is the leading supplier of couplings, valves and nozzles to major oil and chemical companies

1948

G. L. Ohrstrom & Associates acquires company and changes name to OPW

1949

OPW introduces Kamlok® cam and groove quick-disconnect coupling

1960

Dover Corporation acquires OPW

1961

Kamvalok® dry disconnect coupling is the result of OPW's pioneering efforts to reduce liquid product loss

1983

OPW reorganized into three separate business units; OPW Engineered Systems, OPW Fluid Handling, and OPW Fueling Components

1988

OPW splits three business units into three distinct companies

1989

OPW Fluid Handling changes its name to CIVACON (Cincinnati Valve and Control)

1999

OPW relocates Civacon Cincinnati, Ohio facility to Kansas City. Kamlok®, Autolok™, Kamvalok®, and Drylok™ are moved to OPW Engineered Systems in Lebanon, Ohio
